The service was also good as well and the food came fairly quickly. During the lunch special, they give you complimentary soup and rolls for each person. Overall, an amazing Vietnamese restaurant! The broth of my pho was incredibly rich in depth and flavor. Just one sip and you can tell that the staff at Vung Tau make their food with love. My grandmother, who is incredibly picky when it comes to eating at restaurants, even gave her stamp of approval. On top of that, it was such a generous portion of food for your buck. “ My parents and I came here yesterday to try something different than BBQ, steak, potatoes, and other stereotypical American cuisine. We originally planned to go to one of two local Korean restaurants, but- due to both having pretty lackluster reviews and me being extremely discerning when it comes to authentic Korean cuisine after half a decade in the ROK- we settled on Vietnamese here so that we could all make an objective assessment about the food. Everything we got was amazing. It was delicious, the portions were huge, the herbs (basil, cilantro, etc.) and the bean sprouts for my broth were all fresh, and the lady who waited on us deserves an award for how patient and understanding she was while we asked a million questions about the menu. The coffee with condensed milk was possibly the most delicious non-black coffee drink I've ever had. Think the sweet goodness of a sugary specialty coffee with the roast of an actually fresh cup of coffee, unlike one you'd get at Starbucks with burnt beans. I'm beyond amazed at the food, service, and cleanliness of the place (rated A). Will definitely make the hour drive back for food in the future. ”
